These past few weeks have been super busy! Between diving into new scripts—sometimes two a week—keeping up with my gym routine, and working in healthcare, I've had my hands full. My acting coach recently shared a thought that really hit home: the continuous effort we put into training and improving makes us working actors, even if we're not currently on a set or stage. It's a great reminder of the value of hard work and dedication.
I'm currently learning two more scripts for the second week of December, right before the holiday break. I've been reading Uta Hagen's A Challenge for the Actor and rejoined my gym at F45, which helps keep me focused and disciplined.
I think I often forget how much energy I spend carrying all these umbrellas. As the holidays approach, I'm reminded that it's a time to slow down and appreciate the harmony I've found in balancing these aspects of my life.
To everyone out there managing several responsibilities, I hope you also take a moment to honour yourself and all that you've learned and accomplished this year.
